Motor bearings, also known as motor bearings or motor bearings, are a special type of bearing specifically designed for electric motors or motors. The bearings used in motors are a part of the supporting shaft, which can guide the rotation of the shaft and withstand the rotation on the shaft. The concept of bearings is very broad.

There are four types of bearings commonly used in electric motors, namely rolling bearings, sliding bearings, joint bearings, and oil bearing. The common motor bearings are rolling bearings. Sliding bearings generally refer to bearings without rolling elements, that is, bearings used for sliding motion. Rolling bearings for electric motors usually consist of rolling bearings, rolling bearing rings, and cages. In fact, when we discuss sealed bearings, we also include seals and lubricants for rolling bearings. From these aspects, the temperature resistance limit of motion bearings can also be achieved.

1. The bearing itself, including the inner side of the rolling bearing and rolling element.
(1) These spare parts are usually made of bearing steel. In the production process of rolling bearings, these parts must undergo a certain amount of heat treatment. These spare parts also have a certain degree of temperature reliability. There is a concept of fixed temperature for heat treatment. That is to say, within this temperature range, the accuracy of rolling bearings will be relatively stable, and beyond this temperature, the reliability of rolling bearing components will change. In fact, the metal structure of rolling bearings will also change, and the strength of rolling bearings will also change accordingly.

(2) Different manufacturers have certain differences in the default stable temperature for heat treatment for different types of rolling bearings. Generally speaking, the temperature resistance limit of dynamic bearings is mainly related to the following aspects:

① Deep groove ball bearing 120 ℃;

② 150 ℃ for cylindrical roller bearings;

③ Spherical roller bearing 200 ℃;

2. Rolling bearing cage:
The commonly used cage materials for bearings include steel, copper (mainly brass), nylon (engineering plastics, etc.). Among them, the material temperature limits of steel and brass cannot be considered differently, and can basically be similar to those of rings. Nylon cages typically have a certain temperature range. The default temperature range for nylon cages is usually -30 ℃ to 120 ℃. If this temperature is exceeded for a long time, the selection must be changed or other calculations must be made to consider availability.

3. Rolling bearing sealing:
Usually, the sealing components of sealed bearings use more nitrile rubber when there are no special requirements. The sealing temperature range of this material is also between -30 and 120 degrees. The temperature resistance of fluororubber seals can reach 180 ℃. Please consult the corresponding manufacturer for temperature limits of other materials.

4. Oil:
The increase in bearing temperature will have an impact on the viscosity of the lubricating grease. Whether the lubricating grease with viscosity changes can meet the usage conditions requires corresponding testing. Usually, the temperature range of medium temperature lubricating grease for sealed bearings is around -30 ° C to 120 ° C. Electrical engineers can choose low-temperature lubricating grease, high-temperature lubricating grease, wide temperature lubricating grease, etc. based on working conditions.
